Responsible for securing diverse sources of revenue and partnerships to support shelter and supportive services of Phoenix’s largest homeless provider ($9.2 million budget).  Work in partnership with CEO, Senior Leadership and Board to lead innovative strategic efforts in developing a continuum of care that provides housing solutions for individuals and families in shelter. Developed a strategic fundraising plan and incorporated strategies to attract diverse streams of funding for an organization that has relied on government funding as its sole source of funding for nearly three decades. Rebuilt a department that was without leadership for nearly a year and had only two staff members. Manage and trained development staff who oversee individual functions in the organization that include grant management, volunteer management, individual giving and communications. Trained cross-departments to increase customer service, manage public relations and overall assistance in ability to secure volunteer and donor support.

Guided strategy and execution of marketing, internal communications and donor related initiatives to support fundraising and outreach efforts. Developed agency’s first comprehensive communications and marketing plan and branded the organization for consistency in image and messaging. Created web portal to transform previously archaic intranet into a dynamic website improving communication flow and brought online giving in-house through a customized gateway. Established social media plan and managed activities. Created a community-based fundraising campaign that raised over $500,000 and required individual/group collaborations for sponsorships, media opportunities and third-party special events

Developed corporate, foundation and government grant proposals to support children’s shelter and family support services of a $6.2 million organization.
